01 / The idea

The pump stays.
The way it is driven changes.

A conversion keeps the pump that is already installed and changes the energy behind it. The motor is fed by a solar pump inverter instead of the existing supply.

  • The PV array feeds a HOBER solar pump inverter.
  • The inverter drives the existing AC motor.
  • The pump itself is not replaced.
  • Grid or generator backup is used where a suitable hybrid model is selected.
  • Protections and pump-specific controls belong to the inverter, not to the pump.

  • The pump model and the application it serves
  • The water source and the duty the pump has to meet
  • The site location
  • Whether grid or generator backup is available at the site

A compatibility check starts from these details. Send what you have, and we come back with the configuration that fits the motor and the site — or with a straight answer if a conversion is not the right route.

04 / Where it is not the answer

Some pumps should not
be converted.

Not every motor is suitable for a solar conversion. The nameplate details and the way the pump is used decide whether an inverter can drive it, and that is reviewed before anything is proposed.

A pump that is worn, mismatched or outside what the inverter can drive is not a conversion project. We say so, and we look at the pump range with you instead.

An early straight answer is part of the service. An inverter that cannot run the existing pump helps nobody, and we would rather discuss the alternatives than propose one.
