01 / Product lines

Three product lines.
One matched system.

Start with the water source. Each line is selected on the site conditions and on the duty the pump has to meet.

Borehole water

HOBER submersible solar water pump

Solar submersible pumps

Lift water from wells and boreholes for irrigation, livestock and community supply. Supplied for AC or BLDC operation, depending on the site.

Surface water

HOBER solar surface water pump

Solar surface pumps

Move water from suitable rivers, lakes and storage tanks to the point of use. The configuration follows the application and the installation.

AC pump conversion

HOBER solar pump inverter

Solar pump inverters

Convert a compatible existing AC pump to solar or hybrid operation. We check the motor and the application before recommending an inverter and PV configuration.

Final pump and PV selection depends on your site, the required flow, total dynamic head and electrical specifications.

02 / System components

The parts around the pump.
Specified with it, not after it.

These are the parts that complete a pumping system. The exact part and its specification are confirmed against the selected pump and the site, never chosen from a list.

HOBER solar PV module with its mounting frame

Solar PV modules

Generates the DC power the system runs on. The array is sized around the pump duty and the site, as part of the same selection.

HOBER solar panel mounting structure and ground rack

PV mounting structure

Holds the array at the angle and orientation the site calls for. Part of the array design, not a separate choice.

HOBER PV combiner box

PV combiner box

Gathers the array wiring before it reaches the inverter. The arrangement follows the array design of the selected system.

MC4 solar PV connector pair, male and female

MC4 connectors

Joins the module strings and brings the array wiring to the combiner box. Supplied with the array wiring.

Solar PV DC cable coils in red and black

Solar DC cable

Carries DC power from the array to the inverter along the route it takes. Length and cross-section follow the array layout on the site.

HOBER output filter and reactor

Output filter and reactor

Fitted where the cable run or the motor calls for it, to condition the inverter output for the pump. Reviewed with the rest of the system.

HOBER submersible pump waterproof cable

Submersible pump cable

Connects the pump in the borehole to the inverter at the surface. Length and cross-section follow the installation depth and the selected system.

HOBER HDPE water pipe

HDPE water pipe

Carries water from the pump to the tank or the point of use. Diameter, pressure class and length follow the installation.

Component type, size and material are confirmed against the selected pump and the installation site.

03 / How a system is put together

Selected together.
Installed as one.

A pump, an inverter and an array work as a system only when they are matched. We start from the site conditions and work outwards.

  • PV array → HOBER inverter → compatible pump.
  • The PV array is matched to the selected pump and inverter.
  • Accessories are specified for the installation: array mounting, cable, pipe and filtration.
  • Guidance runs from selection through to commissioning.
