Support

Support built around
the way you work.

HOBER support covers four kinds of work: distribution, installation, project delivery and technical documentation. A pump that has already stopped is a fault rather than a service question, and Pump Help starts from the fault.

Answers start from the installation

Pump not working?

Start from the fault,
not from the service.

The check asks one question at a time and tells you what to do next, who has to do it, and what to send us. No model, no serial number and no account are needed to start.

01 / Start from your business

Support for four kinds of work.
One of them is yours.

Each kind of work is handled with its own workflow, its own questions and its own answers.

For distributors

What should I sell, and how do I carry the after-sales?

A business that sells the range rather than installs it: how a range is planned for your market, and how the after-sales behind it is carried where you are the local seller.

  • solar pump distributors
  • pump dealers
  • importers
  • wholesalers

For installers

How do I convert this AC pump to solar correctly?

The people who install: how an existing AC pump is taken from its nameplate to a commissioned, monitored installation, one stage at a time.

  • solar installers
  • pump installers
  • irrigation installers
  • solar pump system integrators

For projects

How does a project get engineered, documented and commissioned?

The teams that build systems: the engineering, the documentation and the commissioning a project is delivered with.

  • EPC contractors
  • irrigation contractors
  • water supply projects
  • engineering companies

Technical resources

Where are the manuals, drawings and guides?

The published manuals, datasheets, drawings and guides, kept in one place rather than asked for one at a time.

  • manuals and datasheets
  • wiring and installation
  • parameters and troubleshooting

02 / The work behind the equipment

Seven stages between
a question and a pump that runs.

Selection errors, installation errors and after-sales cost are removed along this chain: each stage settles what the one after it depends on.

  1. 01 Pump matching The inverter that carries the pump and the duty the site needs.
  2. 02 PV sizing The array the duty point needs, from the flow and the total head of the site.
  3. 03 System configuration The parts around the inverter: the wiring, the protection and the accessories the site calls for.
  4. 04 Installation What is installed where, and the settings the system needs before it is started.
  5. 05 Commissioning The first run, and the checks made when the pump is started on solar.
  6. 06 Remote monitoring The running data a monitored installation reports, and how those readings are read.
  7. 07 Troubleshooting Where a fault is looked for, starting from the readings the installation gives.

The inverter is one part of the chain rather than the whole of it: the pump, the array, the wiring and the commissioning are what decide whether the system runs.

03 / What makes an answer specific

Three things a question
has to carry.

Every support question is answered from these three, so a question that carries them comes back as an answer about your system rather than about the range in general.

01

The model and the nameplate.

The pump and inverter model, and the motor nameplate details where a pump that is already installed is being converted.

02

The site and the duty point.

The water source, the flow and the total head the site needs, and how the system is powered.

03

What the system does now.

What it does, what it does not do, and any readings or photographs taken on site.

04 / Not sure where to start?

The tool narrows the range.
The sales team confirms it.

The online selection tool asks for the site rather than for a model, and narrows the range from there. It does not decide for the site: the selection is confirmed by the HOBER sales team before equipment is proposed.

  • The water source the pump draws from
  • The flow and the total head the site needs
  • The power available on site
  • The pump details, where a pump is already installed
