Project cases

Installations in the field.
Photographed as they are.

Solar pumping installations photographed on site — arrays and their mounting, pump rooms, control enclosures and water storage — and the installation records whose project files state the equipment that was configured. What each site needs is settled by the water source and the duty, not by the photograph.

Solar pumping installation in the field

Water storage and array at a field site

01 / Installation gallery

Four things you see on site.
Nothing you can size from a photograph.

Every installation shown is a working site. The photographs show the array, the route and the equipment enclosure; they do not show the duty the pump has to meet.

Arrays

Arrays and their mounting

Ground-mounted arrays on frames, set where the site allows.

Water storage

Storage and the water leaving it

Where the water is held at the point of use, the pipework that reaches it, and the water leaving the system.

Pump rooms and controls

Where the equipment is housed

The pump, the inverter and the controls, housed and protected on site.

Remote and livestock sites

Sites that run without a grid connection

Water supply where there is no grid to fall back on, including livestock watering.

02 / Installation records

What the project files record.
And what they do not.

Three installations whose project files state the equipment that was configured. The country is the one each file is filed under, and the use each site serves is not recorded.

Installation record

Philippines · Surface pump system

A surface pump recorded at 380 V and 11 kW

Application
A surface pump solar system. The use it serves — irrigation, supply or transfer — is not recorded.
Pump in the record
Surface pump, 380 V, 11 kW. The pump power the file states, not a measured draw.
Inverter in the record
HSPH15KH, 15 kW.
Array in the record
315 W modules, 14 strings × 4 parallel.
Scope of supply
The file lists the equipment that was configured. It does not state which of it HOBER supplied, so no scope of supply is claimed here.

Not recorded

  • The problem the site had before the installation is not recorded.
  • Rated flow and total dynamic head are not documented, so no duty point is stated.
  • No measured operating result, running hours or energy record accompanies the file.
  • Solar array and its mounting frame photographed at the installation The array along its mounting frame.
  • Installation photographed from ground level The installation from ground level.

Archive photographs. Their grouping does not establish a capture date, a single site or an operating result.

Installation record

Mexico · AC pump system

An AC pump recorded at 380 V and 5.5 kW

Application
An AC pump solar system. The use it serves is not recorded.
Pump in the record
AC pump, 380 V, 5.5 kW. The pump power the file states, not a measured draw.
Inverter in the record
HSPH7500H, 7.5 kW.
Array in the record
265 W modules, 15 strings × 2 parallel.
Scope of supply
The file lists the equipment that was configured. It does not state which of it HOBER supplied, so no scope of supply is claimed here.

Installation record

Sudan · AC pump system

An AC pump recorded at 380 V and 7.5 kW

Application
An AC pump solar system. The use it serves is not recorded.
Pump in the record
AC pump, 380 V, 7.5 kW. The pump power the file states, not a measured draw.
Inverter in the record
HSPH7500H, 7.5 kW.
Array in the record
270 W modules, 21 strings × 2 parallel.
Output figure in the record
The file writes 35 m³/h. It does not say whether that is a design figure or a measurement, it gives no conditions for it, and no operating record accompanies it — so it is given as what the file says, and not as a result.
Scope of supply
The file lists the equipment that was configured. It does not state which of it HOBER supplied, so no scope of supply is claimed here.

  • The problem the site had before the installation is not recorded.
  • Rated flow and total dynamic head are not documented, so no duty point is stated.

Send your target flow and total dynamic head

A record is what the file supports, and nothing is written up as a result: none of the three files states the problem the site had, the scope of supply, or an operating result with the date and the conditions it was taken under.

03 / Reading a field photograph

The array is visible.
The duty is not.

A photograph shows the equipment and the way it is installed. It cannot show the water level, the flow the site needs or the duty the pump has to meet.

  • Visible: the array, its mounting, the route of the pipework, the enclosure and the storage.
  • Not visible: the water level, the duty the pump has to meet and the flow the site needs.
  • The pump, the inverter and the array are selected against your site, not against a photograph.
  • Send the site details and the answer comes back as a configuration, with the components that complete it.

04 / Questions we are asked

Case questions.
Direct answers.

Where are these installations?

The photographs are taken in the field, and no customer name or site detail is given with them. The three installation records name the country each file is filed under, because that is what the file says; no address, no customer and no site coordinates are given.

Why is an installation called a record rather than a case?

Because a case states what the installation did. These three files state the equipment that was configured, and nothing about the problem the site had, the scope of supply, or the way the system has run since — which is why they are given as records rather than as cases.

Can I tell which pump or inverter is installed from a photograph?

No. The pump model, the inverter and the array size are not visible in a photograph, and nothing is claimed about them from one. They are settled by the site and the duty the pump has to meet.

Can an installation like this be supplied?

The equipment is selected against your water source and the duty, not against a photograph. Send the site details and the answer comes back as a configuration.
