Pump Help
Tell us what the pump is doing. The check asks one question at a time and ends with the next step for your situation.
01 / Start from what you see
What is the problem?
Choose one. We will help you step by step.
- No water Pump runs. No water comes out.
- Little water Flow or pressure is low.
- Will not start Pump is not running.
- Starts & stops Stops again and again.

More problems
Smoke, burning smell or wet electrics?
Stop here. Do not touch the wet equipment, and do not start the pump again to look for the fault.
Start with the danger check02 / Your check
One question at a time.
Answer with what you can already see or hear. The check never asks you to start a faulty pump again, and every answer can be changed.
- Any of these danger signs? No danger signs Change
- Is the leak near the pump, the controller, the inverter, a cable or a socket? Not sure Change
- Is there a fire, or is someone in danger right now? Yes Change
What to do now
Stop now
Fire or immediate danger. Secure the site first.
- Follow your site emergency procedure. If there is a fire, call your local emergency number first.
- Keep people away from the equipment and from the water around it.
- Do not touch the pump, the controller, the inverter or the cabling.
Stop or get help when: Nothing is checked while this is happening.
Send this check to HOBER
Two photographs help most: one of the whole screen or of the fault as you see it, and one of the pump or controller nameplate. Send them in the message you are already using, or attach them on the Contact page.
If English is difficult, write in your own language and describe what you see in your own words. Photographs help too.
Nothing has been sent to HOBER yet, and no photograph can be uploaded here. If the copy button does nothing in your browser, select the text and copy it by hand.
03 / Before you write to us
Two photographs, and what you already know.
The check records what you answered. Only these two photographs have to come from you; everything else is optional.
- The whole screen, or the fault as you see it
- The pump, controller or inverter nameplate
- What the system runs on — solar panels only, a grid, a generator or a battery — if you know it
- The water level, if you can see it or already know it
A long description in English is not needed. Write in your own language, and keep the two photographs with it.
Next step
Send the check,
and the two photographs.
The check is carried into the message field when you open the Contact page. Add your own notes, in your own language, and attach the two photographs.
